Pizza Nova raises more than $135,000

Restaurant-franchise system Pizza Nova raised $135,286 for Variety Ontario at its 20th annual That’s Amore Pizza for Kids’ day.

During the event, more than 140 Pizza Nova locations across Ontario served medium pepperoni pizzas with every dollar from each pizza sold donated to the children’s charity.

On Thursday, May 16, Pizza Nova president Domenic Primucci presented Variety Ontario with a ceremonial cheque.

“That’s Amore Pizza for Kids’ day wouldn’t be possible without the thousands of guests who came out on May 14 to help us make a difference in a child’s life,” said Primucci, “With the help of all our supporters, we have raised over $1.6 million for Variety Ontario over the past 20 years.”

For 70 years, Variety Ontario has helped children with disabilities in the Greater Toronto Area by providing an accessible facility with specialized programs.
