Everything You Need To Know About Tickets To The Christina Aguilera Tour

Fans of Grammy-award-winning pop superstar Christina Aguilera have finally been rewarded for their patience, as after more than a decade hiatus from touring, Aguilera is back with a 22-city trek set to kick-off in September.

Aguilera announced her first major tour in years early May, in a move to that signals a major comeback into the music scene. The opening act for Aguilera at most of her scheduled shows would be Atlanta rapper, Big Boi. Fans would be able to catch the popstar live in action from New York to California, with several stops in Washington D.C., Atlantic City, and everywhere in between.

The tour which is tagged “The Liberation Tour”, begins on September 25 at the Hard Rock Event in Hollywood, Florida and completes a full cycle on November 13 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida. However, touring isn’t the only comeback move for Aguilera, as her first album in six years, Liberation would be released on June 15. Live Nation would oversee the tour’s production, which will include two memorable nights at New York City’s iconic Radio City Music Hall and two shows at The Chicago Theatre. General tickets for the shows were made available May 18, and American Express cardholders had the benefit of purchasing early bid tickets on May 14. In what would most likely be a series of sold-out events, fans would definitely want to secure ticket as early as possible.

In May, Aguilera released her first single, Accelerate, off her upcoming album. The song was co-produced by Kanye West and features TY Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz. She performed Fall in Line, her new duet with Demi Lovato at the recently concluded Billboard Music Awards on May 20. Fans are keeping a close eye on her social media pages for sneak peeks and teasers leading up to the North American tour. For every ticket ordered on Ticketmaster, fans got a complimentary CD copy of Liberation—in a move that has encouraged quite a number of fans to purchase early tickets.

Since the announcement in early May, Aguilera fans have been quick to note that the tour date begins just one month before the official ten-year anniversary of the Back to Basics tour end date of October 24, 2008.  Since that 2006 hit LP, she has released two albums including Bionic in 2010 and Lotus in 2012. Initially, a Bionic tour was announced in 2010, but was postponed for about a year, eventually being cancelled completely.

Expectations are still relatively unknown, considering her decade-long break from touring. However, Aguilera has reinvented herself dramatically, change her look and style in recent years; adopting a more natural and organic vibe. Given the intensifying pop sound of Accelerate and the accompanying visuals—laced with the literal dripping of sensuality—it is safe to say that the “Aguilera magic” is back in full force.

Purchase your tickets as early as you can for this highly anticipated decade-long tour comeback. Tickets for the "Liberation" Tour went on sale to the public via Ticketmaster on May 18 at a cost of $39 to $199 in New York City, and $82 to $152 in Atlantic City.
