Westbound QEW Reopened at Hwy. 427 after Diesel Spill

Police had advised drivers to avoid the area.

Schmidt said that it’s unclear whether the sign will go back up tonight, although if it does, it will result in another full closure.

The spill took place earlier in the afternoon when a tractor-trailer’s fuel tanks were damaged in a crash.
