Robbery at Scotiabank in Caledonia

OPP cruisers lined Argyle Street North Friday afternoon (Sept. 27) while police responded to a robbery at a Scotiabank that happened around 2 p.m.

An officer on the scene said that the suspect didn’t have a weapon, but had given a note to staff demanding cash.

The man then used a red and white (late 1990s to early 2000's model) Yamaha Sports style motorcycle to flee the area and was last seen travelling north bound on Argyle Street North and turning right (eastbound) onto Caithness Street East.

The man was wearing a red motorcycle helmet and is described as white, 55-60 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing glasses, a grey and white plaid vest with a black, long-sleeve shirt, dark-coloured pants and a white belt.

No one was injured.
