The Expo is a grassroots-oriented author, publisher, bookseller and literary services festival which supports authors and publishers who seek to promote marginalized voices such as those of different cultural backgrounds, gender and LGBTQ communities.

The publishing industry has witnessed a shift from traditional publishing, to digital publishing. Due to this digital revolution, strategies for marketing books may have changed, which means that efforts that previously contributed to publishing and marketing success may not be as successful in today’s world. Contemporary writers are therefore expected to continue to improve their craft;sometimes they also need to hire experts in the field who can help them to effectively navigate the world of book publishing in this digital age. These experts will be present at the festival.

Interested participants, who live outside Ottawa and do not want to travel, are invited to apply to become a ‘Featured Virtual Exhibitor’. This would afford you the same visibility and benefits as regular attendees.
